IBEW 2032 Becomes a UCOMM Client

The UCOMM Media Group welcomes IBEW Local 2032 to the long list of IBEW utility union clients. Local 2032, based in Massena New York, operates one of New York’s power generation systems under the New York Power Authority (NYPA).

Although this client has clients near densely populated Albany New York which is the New York state capital, Local 2032 has members and facilities  spread out over hundreds of miles in rural New York state. Having one central communications structure in place is necessary with a union like Local 2032.

“Local 2032, led by Business Manager William Brown, negotiates directly with the government, putting them in a unique position. Having the ability to communicate effectively and effectively was a key when being retained and getting to work,” says Kris LaGrange.

Local 2032 developed their e-newsletter immediately, calling it “The Local Wire – Keeping 2032 Connected.” After consistent email and text communications, UCOMM launched 2032’s mobile friendly website a few short months later.

“We have worked with Local 2032 for years through UCOMM client the IBEW Utility Labor Council of New York State,” adds LaGrange. “It’s nice to have them on board because the work they do is so vital to New York’s energy future. We’re happy they decided to work with us, it’s a perfect fit.”
