Website Design

The process we go through to develope a client website.

The process starts with the client to try and figure out what they are going to require and what features they will need to be adapted to their website. If they have a preexisting website, what to keep and what to get rid of and what to add.

As you can see above we begin by literally drawing up what we think will work for your particular needs. Sometimes, actually most of the time it rarely ever stays this way once we reach the next phase of design.

This is where the graphics and the general structure of the website comes together. Usually I go through several of these before I reach a final design.  From here I will get you to sign off on the design and begin what I like to call the "tare down".

All of the graphics are taken apart and turned into jpg's, gif's, or png's. Exported and compressed to ensure they load quikly on the web.

In short this is the most technical, and complex part of the entire process.  Sometimes a custom layout will have to be handcoded using pure CSS. Depending upon the solutuion you have chosen we may actually start with a very basic theme, themes are what a CMS or (Content Management System) uses to display your website as you see it on the web. From there we will customize this theme to fit your design. CSS is used again to style all of the pages, add backgrounds, and format/ style text. We try and use valid CSS and XHTML coding whenever possible.

We hope this helps to clarify any question you may have had about the process of how we go about building your website. Any questions please feel free to contact us.
