Introducing UCOMM Radio
Our Unions Our Community Our Generation on the new 94X

In what took months of planning and preparation, UCOMM Radio is now on the air. With the format change for Long Island local radio station 94.3 FM, thousands of Generation X listeners are hearing a pro-union message with hosts Kris LaGrange and Jimmy Hyland. Seeking support from UCOMM Clients, and integrating social networking and the UCOMM News Network, union issues are now getting their fair share of radio coverage. Streaming technology make it possible for people to listen-in from outside the radio stations range as well, expanding the marketing base.
“We at UCOMM Communications have traditionally used websites, emails, blast text messaging and the occasional radio and tv ad to get the word out,” says Kris LaGrange. “Now, the radio show is just another tool for UCOMM Communications to broadcast our client’s issues and build support.”
UCOMM Radio brings together all sects of the labor community, with 4 consistent segments that keeps the content hip, fast and youthful. UCOMM Clients CWA Local 1104, Laborers Local 66 and Insulators Local 12 have donated support to keep the pro-union FM show on the air. More sponsors are being sought as the show develops and matures.
