We recently blasted out a brochure to local unions in the Northeast within the IBEW and the CWA as well as NYS Building Trades Councils and select Long Island local unions. This is the first time that UCOMM Communications has done a mailer of this kind. “We have grown over the years because of client referrals and word of mouth, and we are currently in talks with a couple very credible organizations right now,” says Kris LaGrange. The purpose of the brochure mailer was to let local unions know that they too can develop effective and efficient communications, and UCOMM is here to help. “Some locals need to know that we don’t necessarily have to be in their town to service them. All they need is an internet connection and a phone line. The work we do is set up to work that way,” says LaGrange.

Other website companies charge way too much and they really don't care about the labor movement or your union. After asking for your first born (aka the members dues), they then walk away and over time, your modern website isn’t so modern anymore. “Our websites are constantly updated, and we stay on top of them for you. We give the client access, but we are also responsible for the website’s maintenance. Thousands visit our sites each month, so it is important that people see that your local union is on top of things,” says LaGrange.
