UCOMM Communications is pleased to announce that we have invested in a server backup system to secure the 11 websites we currently manage. This is done with NO COST being passed onto our clients. The “Snapshot Backup” allows us to instantly capture and quickly restore the complete state of our (dv) Dedicated-Virtual Server and our clients website at anytime. All backups are automatically stored off of our server to a central backup infrastructure. Unlike traditional backup solutions that focus on copying a specific set of data, the “Snapshot Backup” contains everything on our (dv) including; all of our web application data, email, the Plesk control panel and all of your current Plesk settings, all installed software, Operating System-level configurations and the Operating System itself. The “Snapshot Backup” is an indispensable tool and will be there when we need it the most.
Commenting on the reasons for this recent investment, Kris LaGrange said; “at times we have caught hackers trying to gain access into our sites. Although our sites have never been breached, investing in a backup system gives us a piece of mind knowing that each recent update, photo and text addition is backed up. Our client’s sites are extremely important to us, and we want the integrity of the sites to never be compromised.”
